  1. 1. The back row must stay fully bound (technically all of the arm but most refs allow just up to the elbow) whilst the ball is still in the scrum. If the ball is at the No. 8's feet and he loses the binding then the ball is out of the scrum.

    2. International Rugby Board (IRB), based in Dublin.

    3. Attackers knock-on between the 5m line and the defenders dead ball line. Resulting scrum is awarded, to the defenders, 5m from the try line.

    4. The receiving team will have the choice of allowing the kicking team to retake the kick, or they can have the put-in to a scrum in the centre of the pitch.

    5. The team is allowed to continue play if a free kick (or penalty or mark) is given. This ensures the game won't end due to foul play or otherwise, and the game only ends when the ball goes dead wholly 'legally'.

  2. I am going to stick my neck out and answer these without referencing the law book (no rules in rugby only laws) ;)

1.What are the rules that govern the binding of the back row at the scrum

ANSWER: The back row must stay bound fully until the ball is out of the scrum

2.What is the organization in charge of word rugby and where is it based.

ANSWER: International Rugby Board (IRB) Dublin

3.Give an example why the defending team might be awarded a 5meter scrum from there own line.

ANSWER: Ball held up in the tackle short of the line. 5M scrum defending ball.

4.If a ball is kicked directly out into touch from a restart what choices does the team receiving the ball have

ANSWER:  None, it is a scrum in the middle of the park.

5.At the end of 80 minutes (including added time) as time expires a free kick is awarded - what s the referees decision , and why, Explain this law.

ANSWER:  The team awarded the kick is allowed to tke it. The reasoning being that no team is allowed to benefit from foul play. If the attacking team needed a single point to score, then the defending team could deliberately foul and if the ref was to blow up, they would have gined an advantage by cheating. Laws of all sports state that no advantage must be gained by breaking the laws of the game.

Please don't take this as fact, I am going from my experience and understanding of the laws as a coach and player
