The coach has recommened we use supplements along with our training. I personally have no clue about these and im asking if anyone knows more about these, what are the most benefical, where to get them e.c.t

  1. There are lots of supplements out there. As you are under 17, I'll assume you don't have allot of money to spend, and keep it short.

Protein, Whey protein is the best out there. Don't go for the cheaper soy or egg proteins out there.

Creatine, With all the companies trying to convince you that their creatine is the best, it can be confusing. Don't buy liquid creatine, it's ineffective. Get a powdered creatine made in America, or western Europe, that has about 35 grams of simple carbs for every 5 grams of creatine. drink it down after training so you body can make the most out of the extra sugar.

I'll stop here for now. You can get these product from bodybuilders.com or any mail order site that can save you a few pounds. As the American dollar is weak now, you can take advantage of that to save more money.

One last thing, At your age stay away from testosterone boosters. They're unnecessary and mostly ineffective.

  2. He probably means weight training supplements and most likely NOT anabolic steroids.  Check with a health foods store or a gym and they'll point ya in the right direction.  But, for the love of God lay off the 'roids.  You'll end up with shriveled nuts and could therefore get confused with a soccer player.

  3. well, what you need to do is take an aspirin once a month. And then every other month take a vitamin tablet... h**l you will be wayyyyyyy ahead and tougher than the other guys.

  4. He means protein shakes which should be taken after every session to help the body recover and to help build muscles. If your in the UK i can get you some protein supplements at a lower price than the rrp prices.

  5. look at this website, all the articles you need on info on supplements and training. there is also a database of workouts and you can print workout logs etc. there is lots of rugby workouts and NFL workouts. you can also choose your goal and it will take you to all the suplements available. hers a link to the build muscle section.
