Run TV through VCR?

Is this possible because on my TV the antenna hook-up thing (lol) on the back broke off and i can not hook the cable too my tv. Is there anyway i can make it so i dont need that part. Or anyway to fix it? I have tried glue. Did not work.

  1. Yes, it can be repaired.  If you are a DIY'er, you can replace the F-connector.  They are generally connected to the tuner by way of a small coax cable and mounted on a bracket on the back inside of the set.  But, if you are not comfortable doing that, then go with the other answerers in their suggestions.


  2. Have you got AV in on the back of your TV ? if you have connect the A/V out on the VCR to the AV in on the TV !!!. Switch the TV to AV mode and there you are ---no problem !!!

  3. Yes, it is. If your TV has the A/V connectors to hook-up to your VCR, then connect your antenna to the VCR, and the VCR to your TV.

    Don't forget, that if you're receiving your TV via antenna, analog broadcasting will be ending, and you'll need a converter box. In the US, this will happen on 2/17/09.

    The converter boxes have A/V outputs which would hook-up to your TV, without needing the VCR.
