Is it possible to run internet games that use java (e.g. Runescape) on the Nintendo Wii Internet Channel? If so, how?

  1. There isn't and I don't think there ever will be.

The Wii doesn't have enough power to run java, and Sun (the people who make java) would have to agree to make a wii custom version of their product (Just like adobe did for the weak, outdated version of flash the internet channel has).

However, there is a solution to my first point...

Instead of Nintendo installing java on the wii, they could temporarily download it when you go on a java game, then it is deleted when you leave the website. (It wouldn't take up as much space or memory as fully installing it).

Oh yeah, also, the Internet Channel is already, let's say, finished and is unlikely to be updated again.
