there are 2 new girls on my team and they are a year younger. when we run in practice i keep up with them but im afraid in meets and workouts they will beat me and i dont want that to happen. how do i prevent this?

  1. Practice harder and run harder.  Work on technique, breathing, and endurance and don't let them beat you.


  2. Do some speed work. Run almost as fast as you can once around the track and then jog slowly once around the track to recover. Repeat this sequence for a total of ten times. Do this once or twice a week but only after you have been running regularly so that you have a good foundation and don't get injured.
