  1. it depends whether you want to be a short distance runner or a long distance runner

if short distance, you should run for about 16 minutes at a 5.5 speed 0.0 incline/decline

and rest after you finish this

because your body can't take too much stress

if long distance, you should run about 30 minutes at a 3.5 speed 0.0 incline/decline

    and also rest

  2. your kidding right?

3.0 speed is walking not running and if you WALK at 3.0 speed it would only take you 20 minutes to do a mile not an hour an hour would be walking on 1.0 speed

    5.0 speed is a 12 minute mile

get of the treadmill though go run outside it is so much easier and better for you

  3. wow on a treadmill!

  4. Treadmill? Pshh. Run outside, you can determine your pace based on how you feel.

Its also proven that running on different terrain is more effective!

  5. Its the same distance.

BuT.. the faster paced one is better for you.

But there is no way it takes you an hour to run a mile

and theres no way it takes you 20 mins to run a mile

my suggestion.. run as long as you can at 7 mph on 3.0 incline
