i heard running was bad for you ?

is it ?

like not running....but jogging fast !!!

  1. Absolutely false!  Running is one of the best things you can do for yourself.  Most people have difficulty starting to run.  I can see how people who give up will find any excuse to make them feel better about themselves, but like most runners, I encourage people to stick it out and take it easy in the beginning.

    Find a place you enjoy running, get some good music, find a friend to run with.  But take care of your body, it's the only one you've got.  Good luck!


  2. I don't understand how this could be bad except if you run on concrete. Now that's not good for your knees. Try running on a track or on dirt instead. Also the street is better than running on concrete.

  3. Running is a great exercise as long as you don't do it in excess. It helped me lose 50 pounds in one year. When I was 18, I was 5'10 235 pounds. A year later, with a slightly better diet and much more running I went down to 185.

  5. If people tell you that running is bad for you they are probably doing something incorrectly. If you don't warm up and stretch before running, you are putting yourself at risk for shin-splints and pulled muscles. Warming up takes less than 5 minutes. They also may have never ran in their lives, and got up and tried to run 5 miles. You can't overload your body too quickly.

    Running is good for you when you do it correctly. It is one of the best forms of excersise out there. It strenghthens your lungs, heart and muscles. It also cuts down on your overall body fat. Running is an amazing thing that anyone can do. No special equipment is needed except for a decent pair of sneakers.

    I hope you don't think that running is bad for you. It isn't.

  6. running is one of the best cardio u can do, so it is not bad unless maybe if u run 10 miles everyday, i might be bad, but no its not bad for u

  7. How can running ever be bad? (unless you have certain health conditions that limit your movement) It helps your heart, lungs and a lot of parts of your body (legs and somewhat arms)...Running overall promotes a healthy life and body.
