  1. vodka wars gulags

  2. Stalin killed them?

Maybe Andrei the GWS troll killed them?

  3. It might still be an aftermath of world war II. The Wehrmacht killed about 20 effin million soldiers of the red army. That is af is it would have offed every man between 18 and 28 on the east and west coast.

But it is more probable that emigration is the reason.

  4. You do realize that women are a slight majority of the global population, right? (Something like 51%)

According to that census, women comprise 53% of the Russian population.  It's not THAT much different than the global average.  Those raw numbers just look like a big difference.

  5. Men tend to die at a younger age than women, as a general rule.  Add to that the far lower standards of living and working conditions enjoyed by the Russians (as compared to most western countries), we can expect that higher male death rate to happen even more dramatically.

    Therefore, more females.

  6. surprising since about 20,000 women are killed each year in domestic violence over there...

  7. Like all eastern European nations the men being men take the risk of coming to the west in order for a better life for themselves. This is possible because border controls in Europe are a joke.
