Ryan Giggs expects silverware this season

Manchester United veteran midfielder Ryan Giggs expects some sort of silverware with Red Devils this season; the 36 year old midfielder has been one of the top performing players for the Red Devils this season and expects some
trophy for United this season.
Manchester United are not in the best of forms this season and have started the season on a low note. The side has not registered a single win away from Old Trafford this season in four fixtures so far and that has made them 5
points behind defending Champions Chelsea. It is for the first time nearly 20 years that at this point in the league, United are even behind arch rivals Manchester City. United have already played 9 fixtures in 29 days and this start can perhaps shape the
entire season for them. Yet, having played more than 20 years for the club, Ryan Giggs remains confident of silverware and has seen so much with the side that this start seems nothing more than another challenge for the 18 time Premier League Champions. This
start can do nothing but lift the spirits of the squad to perform a little better and catch up with the title race. Giggs therefore believes by the end of this season, there will be more glory and silverware for the Red Devils.
"I see trophies in this team. The manager has had a lot of problems this season picking the team because a lot of the players have been fit. Look at the quality of those who are not even getting on the bench. It is not very nice
for those lads but it is great for the club and the team.” claimed the veteran midfielder. The player added that he expects injuries and suspensions from players but expects the side to cope to it. The side was unable to do so last season but Giggs believes
that the side is stronger than the one last season.
Giggs was expected to be back with the first team after a hamstring injury for the West Brom match as the Red Devils looked to maintain their 100% win record at Old Trafford. Also, Giggs has also called his team mates to step up
their game and start their famous winning streak they experience every time in the Premier League. For that to be possible, the players have to be alert for the entire 90 minutes and reduce their defensive lapses which has cost them as many as 6 points this
season.
“Concentration is a little detail that is really important. Bryan Robson and Roy Keane had it. They could concentrate full on for 90 minutes. "But that is a very hard thing to do because you see players losing their concentration
all the time. The manager is always talking about it.” outlined the veteran midfielder.
The player added that the players have the hunger, ability and desire to reach the top of their game and find the winning patch. The only thing needed from them is full concentration for entire 90 minutes. For a striker, it is
necessary to play the entire match with full concentration and look for opportunities even in injury time. That is how Manchester United play and have been the major reason for their success over the years.
