Ryo Ishikawa aims to become bionic!
With the intent of reviving his golf career, Japanese golf star Ryo Ishikawa is eyeing to transform himself into a golfing machine.
The 20-year-old has not been able to claim a victory since 2010. He is, therefore, looking forward to start his golf season this year with new vigour and zeal.
"What do I want to be the most now? The answer to this question is a 'machine'," he said.
The golfer last participated in the prestigious event of Accenture Open, where he was successful enough to cruise into the second round.
It was here, however, that he tasted defeat at the hands of Scotland’s Paul Lawrie. He was able to tee it off in the second round after overcoming American Bill Hass.
It is important to mention here that Hass was able to score well at the earlier held Northern Trust Open, where the American was able to defeat his compatriot Phil Mickelson in the final round.
Ishikawa currently ranks 54th in the list and is making way to accommodate himself among the top 50 as far as World Rankings are concerned.
Once securing his place among the top-50, he will gain access in the upcoming April 5-8 Masters.
For that, according to Ishikawa, he will have to develop machine like qualities. "If I can swing the driver and the iron like a machine, it will help me pile up scores," he said.
He has further been able to point out that his lower and upper parts of the body are not moving in a coordinated manner.
He also said that it is because of the absence of coordination between his body parts that his score fell 11 strokes in the second round of Northern Trust Open.
According to experts, Ishikawa has started to get a feeling that most of his golf competitors are more like machines.
The way they play and the tactics they apply are similar to the characteristics that are found in a machine.
It was further said that since the golfer has pinpointed his mistakes, it will definitely help him in overcoming his shortcomings.
