SAT 2 for math/writing required?

Is it true that UC's require that all freshman applicants take the SAT 2 for math and one for writing (language & comp.)? If so..I thought you could take any test from any subject as long as they are from 3 diff. subject areas?!

from what i hear, they only require two subjs. andd its..recommended to take the math 2. i took the math 2 and physics.

Nope. For the SAT subject test you can take just two subjects tests. Pick something your good at. If you plan to take a subject test on math it IS required to take the highest level of math level 2. However if you can get a fee waver in your school they will pay up to 3 subjects for you to take a test on. However UC's do look for subjects like Math, Science,Literature/Writing. so its good to take at least one subject test on one of those and the others on things your good at or will help u in your career.
