If I take the SAT I or SAT II, and do poorly, will colleges be able to see that score? And if I take the SATs twice, am I allowed to chose which score colleges see?

  1. Colleges only take the better score. But you can't just take SAT II and get into a college. For most collegess it's either SAT or ACT. Some elite colleges require you to take SAT or ACT and subject tests (SAT II).

But yes if you take the SAT twice, they take the better score.

But if you send SAT and SAT II, they are both considered since they cover diff. things.

  2. Unfortunately, some top tier colleges will average your scores on your SAT tests. Colleges are able to see how many times you took the test and what you scored on each test. However, Collegeboard announced this year that they may revive the "score choice" system in which you can basically choose what score you want to keep after the you receive them.
