  1. If you want Sky Talk (telephone calls) and broadband, you will need a LANDLINE into your house.

Sky are now providing Landline Rental for only £10.00 per month.  You HAVE to pay via direct debit.

If you just want sky television however, I dont think you'll need a landline.

  2. yeah i think you do?

i think you can get a deal with sky, like a phone and tv package

  3. They don't need an engineer there to tell if you don't have a landline, they can do it remotely.

You see the box is supposed to be hooked up to the phone line so it can "receive updates and also handle any pay per view transactions", that's the official spiel anyway.

In reality, in addition to the reasons above, the box also communicates "back to base" in the background, giving Sky information on your viewing habits.

I disconnected the line from the box for a month once, and lo and behold I got a letter from Sky stating that I was in breach of contract by not hooking up to the landline.

  4. he's got high hopes

    he's got high hopes

    he's got high apple pie
