I am considering the SONY 52W3000 Verse the Sharp LC52D92U. I am looking at these 2 as they are in the $2,500 and below range. Let me know your thoughts.

  1. Neither....

Wait a few weeks for the New Sony 52W4100 to come out (its newer and better than the W3000 and its also cheaper)

or get the Samsung LN-46A650 (much better than the Sharp)

W4100 official site (comes in 40, 46, or 52 inch)

    Samsung A650 (40,46,52)

  2. The Sony, hands down, for the combination of best performance AND reliability. Read over the HDTV articles in the 11/07 and 3/08 issues of Consumer Reports. You can get them at your public library, or on-line if you have a subscription.

  3. LCD (Liquid Cristal Display) is the new technology, it has a 20 years life expectancy, HD ready, also it looks better, but it is more expensive.

Plasma is an old technology based on using a light reflecting gas, has a lower life expectancy, it has a lower display quality but it is cheaper than LCD.

My personal choice was SONY bravia 46”.
