why do salts like sodium potassium and ammonium use titration method ?

  1. Because all the common salts of these cations are soluble, as are the hydroxides and carbonates.

    So you can't use double decomposition nor the method you might use for making salts like copper sulphate where the insoluble carbonate is added to the acid and then the final excess filtered off.
