Safeco Field Questions?

Question

A friend and I are heading down to Seattle on Wednesday and we'll be bringing backpacks. I know some ballparks have restrictions against this but I'd like to know if you're allowed to bring backpacks into Safeco?

Also, since we're going to a day game (1:00PM PST) do the Mariners still take full batting practice (2 hrs 25 mins)?

i live in washington and go to safeco field all the time...

yes, you can bring backpacks into the park

they do backpack checks to make sure your not bringing in anything bad, but backpacks are not against the rules.

The Safeco information guide at MLB.com doesn't specifically address backpacks, but does provide this:

Containers & Coolers

Hard-sided coolers are not permitted into the ballpark. Guests may bring in bags that do not exceed 16"x16"x8" and must be stored under the seat. Security personnel are required to open all bags at the gates for visual inspection before entry.

Perhaps call the ballpark information office to get the most recent policy.
