Sailing from Virgina to Freeport Bahama?

any advice, departing april 03 with a 41' 4.7" draft,decided not to go the intercostal and dive stright down,,time frame?

That's not a bad time to do that.  The prevailing winds are out of the Southeast thru the southwest... so you will be on a broad reach all the way AND... the winds and gulf stream are both going the same way... so it's pretty smooth and not as wet as at other times to cross.

Come to think of it... I'll fly over to Florida and sail back over with you... where are we leaving from?  I have a 100 ton license with aux. sail... and lots of sea miles doing deliveries...
