That's right sam is due back on the Footy Show this Thursday.

I think Billy did a great job.

How do you think Billy went in his absence ?

Are you glad that Sam is returning

Sam Newman makes the footy show what it is, without Sam, it's a completely different show. In saying that, I think Billy did a great job, and he should have a more permanent role on the show in the future.

Billy Brownless was awesome but the show (which isn't actually about football anyway) couldn't not have Sam Newman.

I personally am not glad that he is returning but he does give the show the sense of stupid humour which is good to have.

Jim and Gary went fine without him though and they don't know how to handle him.

I was not wrapped at all in Brownless' performance.

He was not funny; he does not have much of a sense of humour; he is definitely not intelligent - I think he is a buffoon.

Sam does a far better job & the ratings will prove that. I read the other day that as soon as Sam was off the show & Billy taking his place the ratings immediately dropped by 70,000 viewers.....enough said!

Thin skinned, sensitive females should not watch the show. They know what goes on - they'd rather sit glued to the screen, not missing a single word, & then complain bitterly afterwards to the effect that they have been "offended"!!

Bill done a good job,  it think he's a funny bugger,  funnier than Trevor, but that's not hard,  his joke are so lame.

Sam has and always think he is better than the average Aussie,  but we all know that,  he has good points, he donates heavily to good causes,  i just cant see him changing his ways,   what he does is nothing compared to Matty Johns as Reggie Reagan,  with all his poof stuff with the NRL boys,  never a complaint about it,  the hair sniffing of women in the streets etc,  he is worse than Sam, tape it some time and watch it.

Would prefer Billy to keep going, However, Sam is great to listen too when he talks seriously about Football. The only time i like listening to Sam is when he talks seriously and passionately about the game.

I think sam is better! I know heaps of people hate him but he's funny! The opinion flag he had when he came back was funny. he's like "and this is an opinion flag. if i have an opinion i wave it in the air so you know it's an opinion!" lol!!!

Haven't really watched the footy show in entirety for 6-7 years now.

It's just got too predictable.

I watch the first show each year and usually switch off after 30 minutes.

Sam Newman IS the show!

Garry and James are like Sam's puppets. The show isn't as good without Sam's Mail Bag and Street Talk. But Billy still did a good job.

I have enjoyed the break from Sam - Billy has been good.

I will watch with great interest to see if Sam is any different than when he left!! (it would ber a shame if he was completely gagged, but I think he does need to tone down a little bit - and only a little bit.)

the Footy Show without Sam is like boots without studs - no grip on the ground. Billy is a funny bloke but he doesn't have Sam's confidence, and the spandex suit jokes were far worse than anything Sam has done!

Bring Sam back. and preferably sack Brayshaw and get someone stronger to manage Sam properly.

**I am very pleased to see Sam back on The Footy Show.  I think that Billy did a good job while he was away but I really like Sam and he'd the one that gets the viewers in.

The Footy Show isn't the same without Sammy and as far as I'm concerned, if people don't like him then they shouldn't watch the show.**
