Same s*x crushes and anxiety?

Within the past year I've had my first couple same s*x crushes, which i'm ok with, its just that I experience extreme anxiety/nervousness around them...I experience nothing even comparable around heterosexual crushes...is this normal, and is there anything i can do to relieve this...its VERY inconvenient on so many levels...

i got my first "crush" when i was little.. it was on this little red head boy named matt.. but as i got older .. in about 8th grade i realized that that crush was NOTHING to the way i felt about this one female teacher i had.. it made me realize that what i felt for mat wasn't a crush, i just thought he was cute, i never got nervous around him or studdered or almost became obsessed over him the way i was starting to about women..

and then

i realized i was a L*****n.
