Sandals Jamaica for Honeymoon?

Question

Has anyone done Sandals resorts in Jamaica? We're looking at Montego Bay, Royal Caribbean, and Negril. We're also considering the Sandals Bahamas but for the same price as a beach front concierge in Jamaica, you only get a balcony or patio with a garden view.

I'm also wondering what people think about the honeymoon package. The package is $1800 and you get Exclusive private transfer from airport with fruit, champagne and chocolate, Private four-course dinner oceanside for two, Breakfast in bed

Rose petal bath for two, Couples champagne massage Honeymoon photo session*, One Complimentary 5 x 7 honeymoon photograph, Sunset Cruise , Picnic for two on private offshore island, massage lesson.

It seems like on our budget, we can do

(1)Jamaica - a balcony with a garden view and get the honeymoon package

(2)Jamaica - the better room with a walk out oceanfront but no honeymoon package.

(3) Bahamas balcony/patio with garden view, no honeymoon package.

Which seems like a better option?

There are many Sandals in Jamaica? Which one? That seems to be worth it, though. Jamaica is definitely the better package.

Hi there,

I can tell you everything at Sandals is based on room category.  I would definitely forgo the honeymoon package and use the money to upgrade your room to Concierge or Butler service.  I've been to all the Sandals Resort and there is nothing wrong with the lower price room categories but when you walk into a higher room category it really makes a difference.  It's your honeymoon, you want a beautiful room with all the amenities.

Negril by far, best beach!  

Montego Bay great as you have three resorts to play at, Sandals Montego Bay, Sandals Royal Caribbean and Sandals Inn.  Great options at all three.

Sandals Royal Bahamian I think is one of Sandals prettiest resorts.  Many of the rooms in the Manor building do not have a patio or balcony.  All of the rooms in the Windsor building do.  There are beautiful (new) rooms back in the garden area but there is no water view back there.

I looked into Sandels Jamaica and it is much cheaper then any other country. They sugguested Ocho Rios and  Montego to me as the most cost e ffective.  I'd go to Jamacia. You can always take a cruise to the Bahamas for awesome prices in the fall. Cruises to Jamaica are a bit more.

The honeymoon package seems like a great deal. I'd do with that.

Why don't you try another Caribbean island. How about St.Lucia. We also have two Sandal hotels there and we also have the worlds only drive in volcano which is wonderful. The same beautiful scenery. You can also get married under water and the price might be cheaper. You can go to sluonestop.com and check out the prices and the activities you can do while you are down there.
