Sansa doesn't work!?

Question

I tried to add songs to it, and when I clicked on the sync on windows media player, it said no device was connected(even though it was). I took my Sansa out of the cord. Now it says that it's connected, even though it isn't. It's frozen on that. How can I fix this. I just got my sansa in december
