Sardinia ??? north or south?

anyone been there? which is the best side of the Island for a couple holiday, any good 4 star hotels?

Go to the north-east if you want four stars hotels, Santa teresa di Gallura is allright, close to the best islands, wonderful coast, wild nature, and some entertainment. Don't forget a boat trip to Bonifacio, Corse, just half an hour from santa Teresa ..a spectacular place..

North (Costa Smeralda) is only for rich people with yacht.

I prefer the central zone (Orosei, Cala Luna, Cala Gonone, Arbatax, Cala Goloritzè)

I lived on Sardinia for two years..Just returned back to the states in May.....We lived up North on the island of Lamaddalena so I am partial to the North....Costa Smeralda is awesome!! Rent a car from the Olbia airport and follow the signs to Palau....Hop on one of the ferries there and head over to Lamadd...Only a 15 minute ferry ride.....The islands beaches are beautiful!! Always something happening there in the summer...Although it tends to be very crowded in July and August. I would suggest Sardinia in June or September....

I write from Italy, the best of Sardinia  is in the north...santa Teresa di gallura, isola della Maddalena is wonderfull!!!!! Porto Raphael.....

I have been the last 2 summers for a 2 week holiday and been many times for a few day break - we were in the north and the beaches are absolutely incredible - the sea is as clear as tap water  and soft white sand - you will love it.

We went to Castelsardo and Alghero - hire a car and explore - it is a beautiful island.

i live in cagliari and i think that the island is wonderful in the south part and in the north too. you have just to think if you want to see beautiful sea or even want night life(it is great in the north side)

if you have a lot of money i suggest to go to tanka village(in the south part)it's very expensive but funny and beautiful also!

anywhere! the island is wonderful. the beaches and the sea are like the Caribbean.
