Former FC Khimki coach, Konstantin Sarsania, believes that Spartak Moscow have been fortunate enough to sign Yura Movsisyan and Salvatore Bocchetti during the winter transfer window.
The Russian Premier League club signed Bocchetti and Movsisyan, for a combined 30 million Euro fee, from Rubin Kazan and Kuban Krasnodar respectively.
There is little arguing to the statement that Movsisyan has been scoring consistently since coming to the Russian championship two years ago. The Armenian-American footballer has already notched nine league goals this season
Bocchetti, on the other hand, has been a stand-out performer for the Kazan-based club without the shadow of the doubt since joining them from Genoa back in 2010. The Italian International reportedly denied offers from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 and
Juventus to join Spartak.
Sarsania lavished praise on both the players following their arrival at the Moscow-based club and revealed that the new signings will help the Myaso in gaining a strong foothold in the race to secure UEFA Champions League’s berth.
As things stand, Spartak are at the sixth spot on the league table with 32 points. However, they are just 9 points behind the second spot with 11 games to go in the domestic championship.
“Spartak did exceptionally well to capture players such as Bocchetti and Movsisyan. Bocchetti is a very good player. I think he is above the class.”
“Movsisyan is has been doing quite well in the Russian championship. Both will make the team stronger.” The former Dynamo Moscow man was quoted as saying.
Sarsania went on to hail Zenit St. Petersburg after http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 FC in the round-of-16 on aggregate.
The 44-year-old predicted a win for the St. Petersburg club, saying that the Russian outfit can outperform the Swiss opponents given the fact that they recorded a landmark victory against European giants, Liverpool, earlier in
the tournament.
