Do you have a Saturn? We are interested in the Vue hybrid and want to hear your stories.

  1. Yeah, don't get one. Transmissions are not that very good in Saturns, they do not have a good reputation. If I was you, I would check out the Nissan Rogue, Nissan Murano, Mazda CX 7 or even a Mazda CX 9. These cars are about the same price, and are very reliable. I am not sure about the V4 or V6 options on some of them but the Nissans are very good on gas.

  2. My friend has a 2007 ION and its nice it runs great and has fairly good acceleration. it comes in a 4-door sedan and a coupe with suicide doors in the back.

  3. LOL V4's iv never heard of a V4 but I have heard of an inline 4. But yeah Saturns are not worth it. There cheaply made and you will end up fixing it alot after 50,000 miles. Save the $26,000 on the saturn vue hybrid and go buy a Toyota Prius or if your looking for size at least a Ford Escape Hybrid or a Mercury Montego Hybrid. The Ford hybrids are at least more reliable.

  4. The Vue Hybrid achieves its fuel economy improvement over the normal Vue mainly by shutting off the engine whenever the car isn't moving, and by recovering some of the car's kinetic energy when slowing down by using regenerative braking.

You can expect to get about 28mpg in the Vue Hybrid (MSRP $26,270) compared to 22mpg in the regular 4-cylinder Vue (MSRP $22,150).  It's up to you to decide if it's worth the extra $4000 you'd have to pay for that 6mpg difference.

Personally I think the Ford Escape Hybrid is a better deal.  MSRP $26,640 (comparable to that of the Vue Hybrid) and you can expect to get around 32mpg in the Escape Hybrid, and get a heftier Federal Tax Credit rebate from Uncle Sam--  $3000 for the Escape Hybrid vs. $1550 for the Vue Hybrid.

    Hope this helps.
