I came back from college to find a very unhealthy aloe plant of my sister's. I am adopting it as my own. It is still green and alive, but some of the leaves have a few darker spots and one of them is clearly yellowed and dead (I have taken the liberty of cutting off the dead leaf). I stole it from her side of the house and brought it to mine for watering. It has thirteen leaves (including the now-severed dead leaf) and is in a small pot with a top diameter of 4.5 inches and a bottom diameter of 3 inches. Should I transplant it into something larger, or is this sufficient? Is the best regimen water and some sunlight?
