Okay so I started track last year as a sophmore for the first time in my life without any signficant training before in my life. In Cross Country for a 3,1 mile course I pr'd at 18:33 and in outdoor track i got a 4:59 mile. In the 800 my best is 2:16 but im not the spped guy to begin with anyway..lol.

But I actually started training for real this summer to be better prepared for my junior year so what times would i have to hit in the 5k, 800, or mile to get noticed by some colleges?

  1. cool , I started last year for the first time in cross country and track as a junior in high school.  My prs were 5k in 18:14, 3 miles in 17:47, 800 in 2:14, mile in 4:41, 2 miles in 10:34, and I was part of a relay team.  You and I both have potential to be great we must have faith in God and believe in ourselves.  Lets add each other as contacts and check up on training and discuss the season when you want.

      Peace out.

  2. To get a scholarship to a D-1 school you are need to run 5K under 16:00, 800 in around 1:55, and the mile under 4:15 or 4:20.

You can run much slower at a D-2, or junior college.
