School Crossing patrol lady / man. please.?

Question

I have an interview Tuesday morning (tomorrow). I wondered if there are any school crossing ladies or gents that could give me some advice. I want to do the job properly and not put kids lives at risk as there are some right nutcase drivers knocking about. Thanks.

I'm not a lollipop lady but the best thing to do is rely on your common sense. I think that would be the most important thing in an interview for safety of children. Always be polite and wear something smart. You will do fine :) good luck! xx

At assigned locations, School Crossing Guard direct traffic to aid school children in safely crossing streets on days when public, private, and parochial schools are in session; prepare reports; and perform related duties as required.

Under direction of the Police Department's Safety Division, all persons appointed as School Crossing Guards are required to attend a 15 to 20 hour training course with pay.
