However, these reports were put to rest when national team doctor, Hans-Wilhelm Muller-Wohlfahrt, claimed that the midfielder has no major issues and will be fit for training before the competition starts.
Muller-Wohlfahrt stated that Schweinsteiger is fit for the clash against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Portugal-c2984 and has totally recovered from the calf injury he suffered in training. He admitted that the treatment will continue but stated that it will be only
for precautionary reasons.
The doctor revealed that the Bayern Munich man will be training with the German squad tomorrow and admitted that he has no injury woes ahead of the European championship.
“Bastian has absolutely no problems anymore. He has no pain. He will continue to receive treatment, but we expect him to train again with the team tomorrow,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
Muller-Wohlfahrt admitted that the player is behind the other members of the squad in training but remained confident that he will be able to cover up on the missed time. The chief admitted that he is hopeful that the Bavarian
has made a swift recovery and that he will be available for the crunch game against the Portuguese side.
“Of course he is a bit behind the others in terms of training, but I expect him to be fully available for the Portugal game,” he concluded.
