Scilly Isles ferry?

Question

A few years back, we were put off a Scilly Isles day trip on the ferry from penzance, because of the 'scilly prices' .

{Silly - get it ?}.

This Aug', off to the Penzance area again.

As we were leaving last time, we saw some fly posters for half price deals.

We are a family of 5 {2 adults, 3 children}. The web site prices are far too high.

Does anyone know if they drop their prices each summer - as I assume, they cannot fill the ferry at the full prices.

I did the trip over to Scilly on the ferry once - never again !! ... the way it worked out, the tide was coming in as we were going to Scilly in the morning, so the swell was enormous ... everyone on board ended up green ... by the time we got there my legs were wobbly and I felt ill all day ... I was dreading the trip back but it was as calm as a millpond and a lovely trip ... so if you do find a special offer check out what the tide's doing

don't know when you last went, but if it was last year then I guess they would have been lowering their prices because the weather had been so bad tourism was rock bottom ... guess whether they lower their prices and if so by how much will depend a lot on the bookings they have

since the first time I've done Scilly again by helicopter ... the price is higher I know but for me it was well worth saving up for ... I'd never do it by boat again
