I am an Indian resident...holding a Irish Business Visa for 3 months.

I want to visit scotland over the weekend... would my travel need a visa?

  3. The United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland have a shared border for international travel purposes. As a result, you don't need a visa, or even a passport, to enter Scotland from Ireland.

    You will be required to show valid identification before boarding the aircraft or ferry, but all you need for this is a government issued Photo ID. This does not necessarily have to be a passport. You could use your driving licence, for example, if it has a photo of you on it.
