Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas has revealed that midfielder Scott Parker may be ruled out till Christmas after the player sustained an Achilles injury during Spurs’ pre-season tour of the US.
The instrumental and coveted midfielder joined Spurs last season from relegated West Ham United, and quickly became their most important player.

Parker has yet to play a game this season, and has been sorely missed in the opening games by Tottenham. Villas-Boas is however encouraged by the 32-year old’s progress and is has set a Christmas return for the player.
"It's difficult for him as he still feels pain and is still disturbed in his recovery," Villas-Boas said. "It prevents him from being on the pitch but he has been evolving inside, in the gym, with the medical department.”
"It will take two or three weeks - but we could be looking at Christmas. Hopefully it will be less. It is still within the limits of what we expected. He is making good progress and there has been less pain."
Tottenham take on Chelsea today at White Hart Lane. Spurs are currently on a 4-game winning streak in the league, and will be targeting a 5th win at the cost of the league leaders.
