Question:

Screening Music and Movies?

Does anyone know of any sites I can use (preferably for free) that will help me screen and preview music and movies before children watch them? I.E. How many swear words there are, how many violent scenes, how many s*x scenes, etc. I know www.screenit.com is out there for movies...are there any others?

  1. there are quite a few, a good thing to look at are the Christian movie reviews, I don't know what your religious affiliations are, but the Christian movie review sights often give a pretty good description of how "family friendly" the movie is. I like pluggedinonline.com, it's like Fandango, but with a perspective that agrees with my family's morals and traditions.

  2. If you want to listen to a particular artist of music, I would recomend Youtube.com to watch the music videos or projectplaylist.com to listen to the songs.

For movies, you might try youtube.com as well to see previews and trailors.

  3. commonsensemedia.org reviews movies, DVDs, TV, video games, music, websites and books.  parentpreviews.com reviews movies, DVDs and video games.  kids-in-mind.com reviews music and DVDs.  All of these sites review for s*x and nudity, adult themes, violence and language.  Good Luck.
