  1. You can hard-reset the router and it will be like brand-new when you got it - then just follow the directions to set up the SSID and encryption (use WPA-PSK if it's supported) and anything else you need to configure.

There are 2 ways of resetting depending on brand...the details should be in the manual but here's what I find works most of the time

    (1) Find the reset button on the router and hold it in with a paperclip.  After 10-30 seconds until some of the lights begin flashing, then release the button.  After about a minute (or when the lights stop blinking), unplug/replug the router afterward to reboot it with the defaulted settings.

    (2) Find the reset button on the router and hold it in with a paperclip.  After 30 seconds, unplug/replug the router (still holding reset) and hold another 30 seconds.  Now wait about a minute for the default settings to be written to memory.  That should reset it, you may need to unplug/replug the router afterward to reboot it with the defaulted settings.

  2. Just restore your router to factory settings.  You can do this by pressing and holding down the button or switch on the back of your router.  You will have to reconfigure any WEP/WPA settings that you had before.

  3. Probably the easiest way to regain your internet is to start from ground zero and unplug your modem for 5 minutes, disconnect the ethernet cable from the modem to the router, then get a push pin or paper clip and depress the reset button on the router for about 10 seconds (this will erase all previous settings - so you will have to re-do them). Then plug your modem back in wait for all the lights minus the connectivity one to light up and then plug the cable from the router to the modem back in.
