Sea Diamond?

Will we ever be able to recover the Sea Diamond? Is it possible to get it out of the water?

It's possible but it will be costly. The whole thing is in litigation. Once fault is assigned then recovery and salvage can take place. It seems the crew of this ship and all other ships have been using incorrect charts for the area.

Contact the company.  There may be environmental issues regarding both keeping it in and getting it out.

I don't know either...it sank almost a year ago and if they haven't done anything now they might not ever do anything...My friends were on the Sea Diamond when it sank and they had to leave all their stuff on the ship which is currently at the bottom of the Aegean. It makes me thankful because I almost went on that cruise with them! It was an optional extension to our spring break 9-day europe trip, and I went on the trip but not the cruise since it was too expensive. A few days after I got back I got a call from the tour company, EF that said the Sea Diamond hit rocks but "everyone was okay." From what my friends who were on it told me, people got hurt and my friends had to spend the night in a restaurant in Santorini that night and it was really cold, and they couldnt take a shower for 3 days. But then again how many people can say they survived a sinking cruise ship?

& they still havent been reimbursed for their stuff that they lost.
