First, go to en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dolphin and decide what kind of dolphin you are interested in.  There are many different creatures from several different families that are called dolphins, and you need to pick one.  Wikipedia can give you lots of information about whichever dolphin you choose, and you can get even more info at www.acsonline.org.

that info varies between varieties of dolphins. you will have to narrow it down to a specific species.

in general, though, dolphins have a slender shape with a curved dorsal fin, and a beak. most species are playful, social, and highly intelligent.
