How much force can a seatbelt take when in a car accident? or how much can the seatbelt hold in general?

any unit of measurement would be very helpful

  2. The belt fabric is so strong that the structure it is bolted to, ('B' pillar), actually bends forward in a severe collision. Probably strong enough to lift an elephant.
