Can anyone give me the names of a few good steakhouses in Seattle, Washington? (Besides Daniel's Broiler) and let me know your experience.

Thanks. =)

  1. I would say Metropolitan Grill, located downtown on 2nd offers a great steak and is a well-known place countrywide, for not being a chain restaurant!  , Morton's offers a nice steak as well, and I prefer Morton's over Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, but they also have a really good steak!  These are both well-known chain steakhouses that have locations around the country.

    There's also places like Black Angus and Outback that have steaks, but not nearly in the same calibur as the ones mentioned above.  They're not terrible and you can get a good steak, but from the food to the atmosphere, it's a "downgrade" from the previously mentioned places...

  2. My husband and I love going to El Gaucho's located in Seattle's Belltown neighborhood.  It is a very hip place, somewhat pricey, but very delicious.  Everything is served a la carte and some items are prepared right at your table which is fun (caesar salad and flambe desserts).  It is well worth the money and a very fun evening.  If you are into celebs you might see one here.  Try their web site.

    Good luck!!

  3. I have been to both the Met and El Gaucho, and based on my experience, I would recommend the Met - the Metropolitan Grill -

    For three reasons;

    1) Its' a local place - not a chain like Ruth Chris or Mortons.

    2) You can see what you are eating. El Gaucho is great, but it's too dark in there.

    3) They have a killer happy hour. Before 6 PM - 3 beef dip sandwiches for $1.95

    The steak is really good and really expensive.

    Enjoy

  4. Here are the best steak hours for ambiance, prime cut goodness and service...

    Ruth's Chris Steakhouse

    Morton's of Chicago

    El Gaucho

    Brasa

  5. My favorite is Morton's of Chicago.  Always first on my list.

    For a surprise entry, I had dinner at Chandler's Crab House on lake Union last week and my wife and I had excellent Steaks.  The view was fantastic (right on the water in South lake Union) and the Service was excellent.  It is not a traditional Steak House but their Steak Selection was excellent.

  6. The most widely raved about steak house in Seattle is Ruth's Chris Steak House.  The Brooklyn Seafood Steak and Oyster House is also very good, but a bit more downscale.  The Union Square Grill and the Metropolitan Grill are also well thought of.
