Seeing as if through a diamond?

I've recently begun experiencing periodic "diamond vision". I can see straight ahead, but around the periphery things appear multifaceted, as if looking through a diamond or a prism. Does anyone know what this is called? Any causes or solutions? Thanks in advance.
