Selling a house with leins?

I don't owe the lein the balance is zero to me, is there an attorney out there with an answer

  1. If there wasn't a real estate disclosure form the seller and the buyer brought the house with a lien against it.The buyer will occurred that balance owed.


  2. Not sure you gave enough info for anyone to help you. But I will try. If you no longer owe a lien then you will need to get that in writing from the lien holder then file this with public records. Simple as that.

  3. If you owe no liens on the property, the lender you paid off should have sent you a document when you paid them off indicating that you no longer owe them any money.

    This document should also have been filed with the county recorders office in which the house if located.

    You need not have an attorney to tell you this.

    Look in the telephone book, call a local title company  and ask if they would do a courtesy of issuing a property profile for you with any liens against the property.

    This title company will need the address and possibly your name.

    They will email, mail or fax the profile to you.
