Selling avon?

Question

Im thinking about selling avon. But am i going to actually make any money at it?.. im really just looking for some extra money to help with the outrageous fuel bill..

Hello,

You can make money with Avon.  And I will admit, it will take some time to see the money coming in.  The best way to make money is to develop a "Downline". Which means people who sign up under you and becomes Avon reps.  The more people you get to sign up as your team (downline) the better.  You get a percentage of what they make in sales.

Right now, I'm just starting out with Avon and I have one recruit that has signed up.  I'm not making much right now, but it does pay for my internet/phone bill.

I paid my $10 and signed up.

I never sold anything because after reviewing my options, I decided that all the time I had to invest in it would not equal out to the money, if any, I made from it.

If you have a large social network, you may be able to generate repeat sales, if not, you'll be hard pressed to come up with a working list of clients.

The thing I found, is that if someone buys Avon on a regular basis, they already have a dealer.  The new generation is not at all into Avon, which leaves you hunting for a good client.

I sold Avon in high school.   You CAN make money,but youwillalso have an initial (and some ongoing) expenses.   You have to buy those little catalogs every few weeks.  Also, the door-to-door thing isn't what it used to be.   You may be able tomake extra selling on E-bay, but that means youhave to purchase the items and have them on hand to ship.

You could make more money w/a part-time waitressing job (done that too!)

I know a few people who sell Avon.   One quit because she didn't have enough customers.  The other three are still selling becuase they have enough customers through work, friends, etc.  If you know enough people or can find enough customers, you should do well with Avon (they do have good sales AND their products work).

You can make money! I sold AVON for to years and just stopped last month cause I was so busy. You need a stratagy. You must be willing to work hard the first few months to get your business started.
