Question:

Selling car with no a/c?

I'm trying to sell my 2000 jetta. Everything is in great condition but the a/c currently went out. Fixing it is not an option because of the cost of repairs. How much should I take away from the asking price selling a car without a/c?

  1. Find Kelly Blue Book on-line and that should give you a good idea.  Depending on what area of the country you live in a/c may not be that big of a deal.  I live in TX and a car without a/c is going to be hard to sell.  I know up north many people don't even have it in their houses.  Depending on what you're selling the car for I'd take off anywhere from $500 to $1000.  It really just depends on your location though.
