I was listening to my ipod went suddenly the battery image show charging symbol eventhough i wasnt charging the device. Right now after i do put it on charger, i try turning it on but it kept flashing the apple logo and what appears to be a low or dead battery symbol.

what is wrong with my ipod? is it the control or the whole thing? prior to listening to my ipod, i did use the restroom and washed my hand so could water be the cause?

do i repair it or whatelse?

  1. Unless you washed your hands while holding your iPod, it's not water damage.  Water usually kills your iPod anyway, leaving nothing on the screen, not even the Apple logo.

Try resetting it by holding the menu and middle buttons down.

  2. Yes, try re-setting the iPod.

If you still have the problem, connect your iPod to the computer and repeat the reset process until the logo highlights and is detected by the computer, let it charge for awhile.

If THAT doesn't work, the battery could be fried. http://www.ifixit.com sells batteries for 15 bucks, and they are VERY easy to install yourself.

    Hope this helps.

    Good luck.
