****Serious depression with weight****?

I am a single mum my girl is 14mths old... My self esteem has never been high and i think it has reached the boiling point. I am 165cm tall and weight 63kgs... I know i am not the fattest person but i am really depressed about my weight! I have honestly tried loads of diets and exercise but its not working all that well. I have been on a low calorie diet and have been exercising for 1.5 - 2hrs a day my calorie in take has been under 1000 calories a day for 2 weeks and i haven't seemed to of lost any weight.

I don't know why i am so worried about my weight but i am and its hard. Makes it harder since i am a single mum the you know the desire for a partner but i feel as if it will never happen because of my size. I have never met anyone as depressed as i am with weight.. Some days i just dont care but other days my self esteem is so low i just want to hide myself..

Please if you know of a way the help loose weight or even get me less obsessed please do...

  1. having a young baby is hard

    maybe join a young mums or single mums

    or mum and bub class

    that way you can meet some people that are going through the same thoughts as you

    you could jo for jogs together with your strollers, that would be cute :)

    loosing weight is about a state of mind as much as it is about calories and exercise

    so having some friends to relax with is very healthy

    and seeing a doctor about your feelings can also be benefital


  2. Have you seen your doctor.  It sounds like you're doing the right things, so perhaps there is a medical reason.

    Another thing to try is a program, like Weight Watchers, or Jenny Craig.  For some people, cutting down the calories too much can cause the metabolism to slow down, making weight loss harder.  The trick is to stay within certain guidelines.

    Some few people seem to need a strange diet to make the weight loss work, but it's best to try the balanced diets first.
