Service bulletins?

Can someone define what's boeing's alert service bulletin, service bulletin, mandatory service bulletin and a service letter? And it'd be great if you could state your sources.

alert service bulletin's talk about something you may want to look at, service bulletin's are just basically shop talk, mandatory service bulletin's mean problems have been found

and must be corrected.

service bulletin is a letter sent out before a maintenance manual can be  revised . mandatory service bulletin is generally something that is about to turn into a AD. They give a time period to accomplish it.  Service letter is to let other carriers no what carriers are finding on inspections and what to look out for it.

SB,s are notification of modification.

SB is a manufacturer documents for notifying operator of technical recomendations and initial notification of modification>

SB,s are issued when any system of air caraft and component is defected on regular basis then vendor try to avoid this fault in future by making modification in that system and component.these modification may be

major,minor and mandatory.

Mandatory(Time barred),mandatory,essential ,ORB (on replacement basis),Not applicable,Cancelled,not desired,deffered,

SB,s are issued by manuacturer side

major reasons of why  SBs are issue are  SAFETY,,RELIABILITY,, Improvement in economics,obsolesence,Airworthiness requirement,standardization
