I am 17. I have three younger siblings an 11 year old sister (entering sixth grade), a 13 year old brother (entering 7th grade), and a fifteen year old brother (sophomore). While my dad is gone for the week, I take care of them. What should their bedtimes be?

  1. If it's during school, it depends what time they need to get up in the morning.  All of you need about 9 hours of sleep.  My kids need to get up by 7AM.  My 10 year old goes to bed at 9:30 and my oldest (who is 14) around 10:30-11:00 PM.

  2. I would definitely stagger the bedtimes but when is their normal bedtime?  Their rountine should be as normal as possible no matter who is taking care of them.  I believe a normal eleven year old and 13 year old would be around 9:30 and a fifteen year old 10:30.  I know the high schools where I live start later than the middle schools but teenagers are actually hard wired for a lot of sleep so I would try to push them back a little more to 9pm and 10pm if possible.  I looked up web md to verify what I learned in child psychology.  Look at their "need to get up" time and allot the 11 year old at least 10-11 hours and the 13 and 15 year olds 8 1/4 - 9 1/2 hours each to find out your bedtime.

  3. 11 year old: 8:30, 13 year old: 9:30, 15 year old: 11:00

  4. well 11 yr old ugh i say about 8:30

    13 yr ole..... 9:00-930

  5. I think the guys are old enough to decipher when they should go to sleep.
