does sexual abuse lead to OCD?

what if its not rape but just molest, but the person find herself bathing more times than average people?

can someone tell me some websites that link these two together

  1. No. In my experience --watching The Aviator : ), OCD is an inborn thing.


  2. Yes, any type of sexual abuse can lead to OCD, including ones that involve hygiene, such as incessant bathing.  Anxiety Disorders and Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome are very commonly the result of sexual abuse.

  3. Look at Wikipedia for OCD. It is a anxiety neurosis combined from a bad or unwanted experience.Usually it happens for people who are orthodox in belief.

  4. NO, sexual abuse can lead to PTSD, or post traumatic stress disorder, which could mimic symptoms of OCD in turn.  OCD is classified as an anxiety disorder.
