Question:

Shaoib 'at it ' again?

Shaoib Akhtar has filed a new petition trying to worm his way out of the disciplinary ban imposed on him, which was reduced just weeks ago to 18 months. Do you think he should be made serve the ban like all other players in similar circumstances? And are the PCA just a bunch of yes boys, who bow to every recalcitrant who cries 'hard done by'?

  1. If he feels that he has been wronged then he has the right to file as many petitions as he wants. I have heard him on one TV show in India and it seemed like he is a very genuine person and speaks from the heart. When you are young and the fastest bowler in the world, you have some air about yourself and you make mistakes but punishment should be to help him improve him as a person and not for any revenge to destroy his career. I love watching him bowl even though I am Indian and want india to win every match against any team including pakistan.

  2. Yes, I fully support that Shoaib Akhtar be given an immediate pardon and I have couple of resonings for that:

    1. Pakistan bowling attack is extremely weak at the moment and none of the current bowlers, except Sohail Tanveer,  seem threatening or taking wickets when needed the most. Pakistan bowling attack is simply listless and lacking a front line experienced bowler who can be both attacking and economical.

    2. Shoaib never committed one of those deadly sins that he is made to look like a monster. Yes, he aint an angel but if the most corrupt and notorious political leaders of Pakistan can come clean through the National Reconciliation Ordinance then why can't the same apply to Shoaib? He never looted the country and then fled overseas like the politicians. If those corrupt and bloody people be given the pardon then Shoaib must be handed the same justice just for the sake of the country and its pride. If Pakistan is 1st before anything else to them, then bring back Shoaib immediately.

  3. Yeah, Montitude's right, it's all been a well thought out plan by the PCB to weazle him back into cricket. What frauds.

  4. He  may come back as you say, but there will not be any respect for him from his fellow players, nor for the PCB

  5. And guess what? The ban will be lifted once again.

That's what happens there in Pakistan.Discussing about these things related to Pakistan cricket is just waste of time in my opinion.

    PCB is a joke.

  6. well i have seen answers of you guys above... the case was in court and its still in court for shoaib's next appeal. as far as the ban is concerned it was never justified. He is has real anger problems alongwith his fitness problems. But pakistan needs the young blood now doesnt matter if he ban is pulled of or not he cant be in the side he is just trying hard for himself PCB has nothing to do with him or the courts decision even if the ban is pulled of from him he wont be selected in the team by slectors.

  7. yes he can. But he has to reduce his temperment.

  8. i agree 100% with Ange

  9. Yeah that would be right..Try and worm his way out of yet another suspension. He is slime, that is all i will say..If it was an aussie who was trying to do this we would not hear the end to it...This really is laughable, first he is given a 5 year ban,he cries fowl and it is reduced to just 18 months and he is still whinging..He should cop it on the chin as any other player would have to do..Why do the PCB let him get away with things so much?..Oh that right, they dont have many good players do they?..

I dont mean to knock the team but the only reason i see them fighting so hard is because they need his chucking expertise..
