I'm wondering, too.  I do know that Coca Cola pays a dividend of $2.66 per share. The price in after-hours trading was $51.35 per share.  Your $5Million would get you 97,371 shares if you didn't have to pay commissions . So you'd get 97,000 shares.  Your dividend would be $258,020 in the first year., or $64,505 every 3 months.

The $51.35 share price will change almost every day. My guess is that it will trend upward by about 4% during the next year, so they should be worth about  $53.40 per share in 12 months. Your 97,000 shares would then be worth $5,179,800.
