She wont go into her crate?

I have tried to put her into her crate when she needs to nap and at night time but my puppy just howls and barks so loudly for so long that we even got a complaint off our neighbor !every time we try her put with the crate she cries for hours so we end up giving up as she is impossible to ignore! Please help!!!

Try covering the crate with a blanket.  This helps because they wont see what is going on around them.  Then stand by and when she barks make a loud noise.  We used Shhhh in a higher pitch.  Wait till she does it again and then make the noise, depending on the puppy it can take a few times.  After a while she should get better.

Also commend her when she gets in her crate.  You can hide a treat in there or store her toys in there so she has to go in there and get them.  

Never use the crate as a time out.  You want her to associate this with a nice place.  

If you just got your puppy the crying could be separation anxiety.  It takes about 1-2 days for them to adjust.

OH OH OH!  I know this one!  It works like a charm.  Set up her crate in another room that shares a wall with your bedroom.  When she starts to howl, don't say a word, very very quietly get up and smack the shared wall as hard as you can to make a VERY LOUD bang.  She will stop howling for a few seconds.  As soon as she starts again, smack the wall again.  It will make her think that her howling is making that scary sound happen. Try not to make any noise AT ALL when you get up.  Closing your door will help to muffle any sound you might make when you get out of bed. You should only have to do this 3 or 4 times for 3 or 4 days.  Let your neighbors know what you are doing so that they don't think you are beating your dog.  This will work!! Good luck.

I hope you're talking about a four legged pup, not a human pup!

Try putting a dirty t-shirt in with her at night, so she has something that smells like you, as well as something to chew, and something to play with.

don't forget that a little pup doesn't have a big bladder, so you need to take her out often.
