I live in Guam and I am buying something on ebay. This seller acts as if they have no idea how to ship to Guam and is charging me like 60 for shipping for an item that should cost 10.00 to ship. Is their anyway for me to pay for the shipping online and them to print out the postage at their location?

  1. How bad do you want the item? Because in my opinion I would not purchase from them as all eBay sales are a binding contract. Find someone else to purchase from at a reasonable shipping price.

  2. Im an international buyer at ebay too.I usually ask prior to bidding for shipping costs because many of them wants to ship only by Ems or  Fedex...........others even wouldnt ship  to my country at all, even if reads worldwide............every item is something different.

To avoid high shipping costs always ask before bidding!Remenber bidding is a contract and you can get your account suspended because of it,dont sent cash as is not a proof of your payment to ebay.

In this case ,I will ask the seller to please explain why is the shipping price so high, how long will it takes to arrive, the weight and check it at .......  www.usps.com .If you bougth the same item  before from the same country let them know .

Or wait for my package to arrived and see the real shipping cost and if is lower put this on the feedback so everyone will know this seller is overpricing........

  3. There are a lot of sellers who inflate shipping costs.  One reason could be because Ebay gets a percentage of the total amount that the product sold for.  Another reason is just to make more money.  You can report the person to Ebay for inflating shipping if it is that much more, but I would suggest not purchasing an item from that Seller.
